The Ormond Beach Chamber’s Spring Carnevale has been designed as our annual signature event. Our first event, February 2009, was overwhelmingly received and supported by not only the people or Ormond Beach but all of Volusia, Flagler and the surrounding counties as well. This sensational event is the Ormond Chamber’s gift to the residents of Ormond Beach. It will be held at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona, at the corner of US Highway 1 and I-95 in Ormond Beach.
It begins Thursday night, March 25 at 4:00 pm-10:00 pm with carnival rides all four days, closing Sunday, March 28 at 9:00 pm. Friday evening everyone is looking forward to a return performance from Randy Filippi, an Elvis Tribute Artist, in the Coca Cola Pavilion. Saturday is a full day with an old-fashioned hometown parade, health screenings by Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, free H1N1 flu shots provided by Volusia County Health Department (Saturday 10am-2pm only) a business expo, Seniors Today expo, and kid’s entertainment area. Due to popular demand, we are again hosting the successful Battle of the Church Bands™ on Saturday. The “battle” begins at 1:00 pm and continues to entertain the crowds until 11:00 pm Saturday night. Sunday, our closing day, will be filled with great music by Johnny Lambrusco and Country Singer Bobby Meeks, the business expo, Seniors Today expo, kids entertainment area, and of course carnival rides.

The funds raised from this event will maintain the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce and its mission to support local businesses. Each band plays a set lasting 45 minutes, time is allowed for set-up and breakdown between each performance. Pre-recorded instrumentals will play during set-up and breakdown periods.

The inaugural Signature Event - Ormond Beach Carnevale took place February 5 - 8, 2009 at Destination Daytona. It was a memorable family-oriented event that provided activities for all ages. Following is a short photo gallery of the weekend.
Our opening ceremony included a ribbon cutting with Bruce Rossmeyer, Harley Davidson/Destination Daytona, Mayor Dr. Fred Costello, Kent Jones, Signature Event Committee Chair, Tony Capozzi, President, Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The "Acafellas" from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University sang the National Anthem as part of the opening ceremony at Destination Daytona. They also entertained the guests inside Houligan's as they were helping themselves to food and drink.
A cake cutting ceremony with Committee Chair Kent Jones, President Tony Capozzi and Executive Director Mary Rhodes completed an exciting evening of celebration.
